Day: 130 Miles: 16.4 Trip: 1776.8 Started: Trapper John Shelter Destination: 1776.8
NH continues to ramp up. Today was not that long of a day by most standards on the trail, but it was filled with quite a few climbs. I was more tired that I felt I should be by the time I made it down to a stealth site near mile 1776. The climb today over Smarts Mountain was a continuation of a theme that will only get more prevalent as NH continues, climbs! The view on top of the Smarts fire tower was terrific, and cold! I am glad I will be getting some of my winter gear back in a day. Speaking of that, my friend Jay is coming up to do the Whites from Glencliff to Hanover. It will be really great to have him on the trail!
